The Christian Science Committee on Publication for Southern California is a resource to provide accurate information about Christian Science, its church, and founder, Mary Baker Eddy. As part of this work the Committee communicates with legislators, members of state agencies, editors, and reporters.
The Committee is also available to share information about Christian Science at interfaith and ecumenical events, universities and schools, churches and senior homes.
In a world fraught with religious strife and division, genuine understanding between people of differing faiths and backgrounds sometimes seems as rare as it is vital. Stereotypes abound. Religious believers often find it hard to see past their differences. Secular commentators often lump all faiths together as if they were the same.
Similar obstacles are equally common in public perceptions of Christian Science. Christian Science Committees on Publication have been in dialogue with the world since the early years of the denomination. The clearing away of misconceptions of Christian Science that would obstruct genuine understanding is at the heart of their work.

About Committee on Publication, Anne Cooling
Anne Cooling is an active member of her local Christian Science branch church as a Sunday School teacher. She is also a Christian Science Practitioner and has her Master of Arts in Theology from New Theological Seminary of the West.
Anne has worked for her church headquarters in Boston in their College and University Activities Department and Publishing Department. She also served on the board of two Christian Science Nursing Facilities and been a Christian Science Assistant Nurse. She chaired the local teen chapter of her church’s youth group in Orange County. She is also on the planning committee for an Interfaith group in Orange County and has participated in a variety of interfaith and ecumenical activities.
