The following was shared by Jobie Townsend. It ties in so well with yesterday’s inspiring ACOM Zoom meeting that I wanted to share it with you all. It is an interview with Mary Baker Eddy on her dealing with persecution and she speaks about how she demonstrates over the false belief of age.

      Enjoy, Anne

One reference at the Zoom meeting with to David Hohle’s lecture, “Time is not a facor in your life.” I got several good ideas from that lecture.

      1. Ask God what does He want me to do? Then do it joyfully without wondering if I have time or not, either in the day or in my life. Be free from the lie of limitation..
      2. God’s law is of immediacy. “Before they call, I will answer.”
      3. To heal, you don’t need time. You need radical thought. So to bring change to the chronic sense of aging church, we don’t need time (or more members), we need radical thought to see that God’s work is done. His church is spiritual and perfect. Think of both yourself and church as free of age and of all mortal limits.

Love the ideas from that lecture. Thanks for the meeting!

“… until I begin my work anew.” What a wonderful last phrase in the article that shows each of us how the Christ can handle any sense of imposition from the public, the press (including new technical avenues for press) and other avenues of discourse. Thank you, Jobie, for your inspiration to share this article.

Today, as I was praying, some very strong thoughts came, and I wanted to share them.

Our Leader defines “Holy Ghost” as Divine Science in the glossary of Science & Health.
She equates divine Science with the Holy Comforter. (331 – 31)
A further reference to Divine Science: ” In the words of St. John: “He shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.”
This Comforter I understand to be Divine Science.” (p. 55:27)

So, it came to me that This Comforter, Divine Science, is permanent, because The Holy Spirit, or Holy Ghost, is forever part of “the triune Person called God”. (331: 26 – 27)

And, to experience the longevity of Christian Science, we simply need to witness it through healing to see it in its true light – “Science as applied to humanity.” (SH 127: 15-16)

This application is the “other half” of Mrs. Eddy’s discovery. (And, lately, I am feeling how our Leader expected all of us students to “discover” it for ourselves, through our own seeking. The true teacher that Mrs Eddy is, she lays her ideas out clearly, but does not “spoon feed” us.) :

“ The term CHRISTIAN SCIENCE was introduced by the author to designate the scientific system of divine healing.

The revelation consists of two parts:

      1.  The discovery …

      2.  The proof, by present demonstration, …”

(Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 123:16–20 (to discovery), 24 (only, to 2nd ,))
