MemberI’d like to share some thoughts about my recent prayers regarding outreach to media outlets in Chula Vista. I’ve been working with Mary Baker Eddy’s words: “Working and praying with true motives, your Father will open the way.” (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, Mary Baker Eddy, p. 326:20–21) Right motives are certainly behind all the efforts to share the Annual Meeting News Release, including the motive to share a message of hope and healing–that all humanity can expect to be sustained by God’s grace to go forward during these challenging times. So, I know that the ways for this message to be shared will be revealed. Yes, it’s right for us all to have the assurance of God’s power and presence manifest through His/Her love, comfort, strength, sustenance, healing, and provision for all our needs.

ParticipantThanks, Randal. I took some time to reinforce my awareness of this year’s Annual Meeting theme: Grace to Go Forward. This idea has so much to offer the world, and the CS Board of Directors shared many approaches to this on the christiaiscience.com website leading up to the Annual Meeting. Here is one statement: “We are seeing a new sense of church emerge as the natural result of what we are learning during this time. Many have shared with us that they have a greater appreciation for what really matters in church. We’re hearing of a purer, more spiritual sense of church, and while we don’t know exactly how this will be expressed, we do know that Christ will be leading us in the right way to meet the individual and community needs at this time….Along with the fresh sense of church, what will continue to bless is the good that is already being demonstrated by each Church of Christ, Scientist, through every member’s study and practice, love for each other, and our working and praying together for our communities.”
